Personal Injury
Every year thousands of people are involved in accidents resulting in injury to themselves. Where you are not to blame for the incident and you have suffered an injury as a result you may be entitled to compensation. We’ve been helping accident victims for nearly 30 years and we may be able to help you.
Accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere, at anytime. Because they are so unpredictable, if the worst does happen you need to know where you can obtain high quality advice about what to do.
Our Personal Injury partner, Martin Crossley who has more than 15 years' experience of dealing with accident claims and is accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Solicitors and we are accredited by the Law Society to provide advice on Personal Injury matters.
We have recently recovered more than £1 million in damages for accident victims. We will act for you on a conditional or no win, no fee basis. We will tell you when it is not in your best interest for us to do so and we will advise you fully about the costs and risks involved in pursuing a claim
We believe that we offer the highest quality advice and the best standards of service at a very reasonable rate.
Examples of when you can claim are:
- If you have been injured on the road as a car driver, passenger or as a pedestrian.
- If you have been injured at work and your employer or someone else is to blame.
- If you have tripped on a dangerously uneven pavement or slipped in a shop and you believe the owners to be at fault.
- If you have been assaulted.
- If you have been injured or become ill because of a defective product sold to you.
- If your child has been injured and it was someone else’s fault.

This may be the first time you have ever dealt with a solicitor; we will take care of you and your claim. We will evaluate your legal needs and help you obtain the best advice on the management of your injuries, both now and for your future.
If you've had an accident you should:
- Take photographs of your injuries, especially cuts and bruises
- Store in a safe place any damaged clothing or other items
- Take the names and addresses of any witnesses
- Keep a diary of events from the day of the accident, remembering to record how you feel.
We will then arrange a free, no obligation consultation to discuss your case. If we consider that you have a good case then we will write to your opponent and tell them that you are making a claim.
They then have three months from acknowledging the claim, in which to decide whether to admit or deny that the accident was their fault.
In order to tell how much your claim is worth, we need a medical report which says what your injuries are and - more importantly - how long it might take you to get better.
The majority of our cases are settled by negotiation before commencing court proceedings.
Sometimes we do have to start court proceedings. When we do, only a small percentage of those cases ever result in a trial.
NO WIN, NO FEE!
Like a lot of firms. we offer our clients a 'no win, no fee' service for personal injury work. This means that you can bring your claim without having to worry about facing a huge bill if you lose.
How does it work?
You take out an insurance policy. If you win, your opponent
pays the premium. If you lose, the insurance policy will pay your
opponent's legal fees and your disbursements (that is, payments for items
such as medical reports and court fees).
